Biceps Femoris Long Head Architecture

Through the analysis of ultrasound images collected from a resting subject, it is possible to assess the muscle architecture of the long head of the biceps femoris muscle. Specifically, the muscle thickness, the pennation angle of the fascicle, and the angle of the aponeuroses are evaluated. With these measurements, it is possible to estimate the absolute length of the fascicle of the long head of the biceps femoris muscle, as well as its relative length to the muscle thickness.
