In November with a test, you get one month of training for free
This winter prepare yourself with Mapei Sport: with an assessment test, you will receive one month of training for free. Winter is less harsh for athletes who rely on the Italian Research Center, which proposes a promotion not to be missed. Those who book an assessment test in November will have a 4-week personalized training program for free.
Take the opportunity to test your level and fitness by taking one of the following tests:
Heart rate/power test (Conconi) for running
The test is carried out while running on a treadmill in the laboratory and measuring the heart rate in relation to the power reached during incremental exercise to exhaustion. This test allows us to assess and monitor the athlete’s level of fitness as well as detect heart rate rhythms during different training activities.
Heart rate/power test (Conconi) for cycling
The test is carried out while cycling on an exercise bike in the laboratory and measuring the heart rate in relation to the power reached during incremental exercise to exhaustion. This test allows us to assess and monitor the athlete’s level of fitness as well as detect heart rate rhythms during different training activities.
Anaerobic threshold test for running
maximum in accordance with the Mader protocol. During the exercise, a set of measurements are taken in relation to the concentration of lactate in the blood (via subsequent droplets drawn from the earlobe) at increasing speed to establish the anaerobic threshold. The test is used to monitor the athlete’s level of fitness throughout the season and to identify training patterns with reference points based on heart rate and/or speed. It is also possible to obtain approximate estimations of half-marathon and marathon race times.
Anaerobic threshold test for cycling
A test carried out whilst pedalling on an exercise bike in the laboratory during incremental exercise to maximum in accordance with the Mader protocol. During the exercise, a set of measurements are taken in relation to the concentration of lactate in the blood (via subsequent droplets drawn from the earlobe) with increasing power loads to establish the anaerobic threshold. The test is used to monitor the athlete’s level of fitness throughout the season and to identify training patterns with reference points based on heart rate and/or strength.
V02 max and ventilatory threshold test for running
connected to a metabolimeter. The equipment allows us to determine the maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max, the global index of cardiovascular and respiratory efficiency) and the relative anaerobic and ventilatory threshold. When taken repeatedly over time, the test allows us to monitor improvements in cardiovascular efficiency and identify training patterns based on heart rate (a key factor when creating customised training programmes).
VO2 max and ventilatory threshold test for cycling
This is a maximal test carried out whilst cycling on an exercise bike in the laboratory and wearing a mask connected to a metabolimeter.
