Just 10 days separate us to the fourth edition of “Pedala con Aldo”, a charity event that remembers Aldo Sassi, a renowned professional in the preparation of famous cyclists and in the fight against doping, co-founder and historical director of Olgiate Olona (VA) Mapei Sport Center. Twinning with ReStelvio Mapei 2017, it will be on stage on Sunday, October 22 with departure and arrival at Cagno (CO) Palasport. It presentes two routes: 15 km “soft” and 50 km “hard”. On the side of cycling, there will be entertainment for children and families. Among the amateurs and enthusiasts, Aldo’s former collaborators and athletes will be pedaling, including names like Adriano Baffi and Daniele Nardello, who want to remember their unforgettable trainer who missed the affection of his loved ones in 2010, won by an incurable disease. Two years after his disappearance, on January 14th 2013, “Aldo Sassi’s Friends Association” was established to finance socially useful projects, in the field of care, education and sports, by finding funds through the orgatization of sportive, musical and recreational demonstrations. The proceeds of the event will be donated to the A.Ma.Te Association based in Faloppio, which in collaboration with the Association Il Mantello works for the diffusion of the culture of palliative care and helps to provide assistance services aimed at continuous care and relief from pain, and to the Alveare Association at Olgiate Comasco, which for years has been working in the country for person promotion and dedicating to the disabled problems.
