Sassuolo Calcio started the season well in advance of other Serie A teams in order to best prepare themselves for the forthcoming  Europa League qualifying rounds.

On Wednesday 22, Thursday 23 and Friday 24, the team went for their  preliminary sessions at the Mapei Sport Research Centre in Olgiate Olona.

Di Francesco officially started the season for the black and greens on Sunday 26 June, when he called up the team.

On Wednesday 29 June Mapei Sport coaches carried out assessments on the pitch at the Fiorano facility (Sassuolo).

The aim was to evaluate the athletes’ physical fitness before training, which will take place on Sunday 3 July in Mals (Bolzano) and will conclude on Saturday 16 July when they will return to Sassuolo.
