If the first research published by the Mapei Sport Research Centre in 2025 is dedicated to rugby, the second deals with football and the third with health and fitness.
On 4 March in Research in Sports Medicine An International Journal saw the light Associations between running activities and odds of scoring goals during professional football matches, a work conducted by the operations director of the Varese-based centre Ermanno Rampinini with Federico Donghi, Marco Martin, Nicola Riva, Marco Riggio and Aaron J. Coutts to investigate the association between running activities and odds of scoring goals during professional football matches.
On 10 March in Sport Sciences for Health appeared Influence of age and fitness level on β-endorphin response to acute aerobic exercise in healthy men, in which Dr. Claudio Pecci, medical director of Mapei Sport, with scientific research manager Andrea Bosio, Andrea Morelli, Ermanno Rampinini, Luigi Marano, Ester Tommasini, Sara Missaglia, Paola Vago, Alvaro Mordente and Daniela Tavian studied the influence of age and fitness level on the β-endorphin response to acute aerobic exercise in healthy men.
The Mapei Sport specialists in the first case collaborated with Sassuolo Calcio, researchers from the Welsh University of Bangor and the UTS University of Technology in Sydney, in the second with professors from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and Rome.
