In 300 cycled in the name of Aldo Sassi. The sixth edition of “Pedala con Aldo” was staged last weekend in Cagno, in the province of Como, finding the usual success. On Saturday families and children pedaled 10 km between Solbiate, Cagno, Albiolo and Valmorea, enjoying a beautiful sunny day. In the evening the Malnate restaurant “Cascina Diodona” hosted the charity dinner with guest Paolo Bettini, who told the audience and at the presence of Mapei Sport Research Center director Claudio Pecci, about his sporting history, focusing the attention on the relationship that tied him to Sassi at the time of Team Mapei.

On Sunday a really large group of amateurs traveled 50 km with 700 meters in altitude. Among them did not miss the appointment some of “his” boys: from champions like Daniele Nardello to his heirs Andrea Morelli, Massimo Induni and Matteo Azzolini who carry out his work philosophy at the Mapei Sport Research Center in Olgiate Olona (Va).

The proceeds of the event organized by the association Amici di Aldo Sassi will be donated to the inter-municipal center of Via Brella in Solbiate with Cagno, so dear to Aldo Sassi, for the realization of a modern life path that will be built in the external area. The tools that will be placed will allow to anyone who wants to train inside the fence in complete safety. Aldo would be proud of it.
